Based on the world renowned Qing Hua design of cobalt blue on a pure white background, our Blue Orchid Gaiwan is consistently one the most popular in our set of six Imperial Gaiwans from Imperial Tea Court. These elegant designs were made popular since the Ming Dynasty (almost 600 years ago) and is still the design of choice by many collectors.

Orchids themselves are known for their delicate beauty,  as well as strength and longevity. It is also an important symbol for the art of tea preparation. The blue orchid  floats on the pure white background of fine bone china, it honors both your guests and the tea you serve. Perfectly nested into the base with a precisely fitted lid, this is an elegant but highly functional vessel. An excellent example of the Chinese art and history of tea.
