Herbal tisanes are very forgiving! With very few exceptions you will need boiling water to bring out the full flavor of the ingredients. Steep for at least 3 minutes--the longer the better. There's really no such thing as too long, and there's no need to remove the herbs at all. But because of that, don't expect to get more than one infusion.
